World Premiere of Avatar and other great film scores, performed live in the Los Angeles area, February 6, 2010 @ 8:00
GSPO’s Great Composers Series will showcase music by some of the most recognized names in the film music history - John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, Alan Silvestri, John Ottman, Danny Elfman, James Horner, Alfred Newman and Alex North. By special arrangement with Michael Giacchino, GSPO will be playing his music from the TV series LOST, now in its last season. In addition, 20th Century Fox has granted permission for GSPO to play the World Premiere of a suite of James Horner music from the blockbuster film, Avatar. Purchase tickets here.

Inland Pacific Ballet's
The Little Mermaid
Hans Christian Anderson's brilliant tale, popularized by Disney's animation, comes to life in Inland Pacific Ballet's The Little Mermaid. Presented in collaboration with GSPO, this family friendly ballet features a recorded sound collage of great composers like Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Benjamin Britten and Ralph Vaughn Williams. Come and experience one of the most beloved pieces in the woodwind repertoire – Carl Nielsen’s Wind Quintet in A major, Opus 43 and Sergei Prokovfiev’s Quintet in G major, opus 39 for Oboe Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Bass.
